We’re pleased to announce the next City of Wollongong Wind Band concert, “Eclectic Symphonies”!
The concert is an exciting collaboration between Sydney Wind Symphony, (one of Sydney’s premier wind bands) and Wollongong City Wind Band (current National Champions). The program includes the world premiere of “Home is Where My Heart Belongs”, a composition written especially for Wollongong Wind Band by young Sydney composer Hamish Reeves; “Manhattan”, a stunning work for wind band and solo trumpet, performed by one of our young musicians; “Foundry”, a contemporary industrial piece by John Mackey, featuring the raw energy of 12 percussionists; plus much more.

Please note that the concert start time is 4pm, a little later than usual to accommodate members of Sydney Wind Symphony travelling down to Wollongong.
The concert will include a COVID-safe afternoon tea.
